Kind of random question, do you guy use left thumb or right thumb for space key when typing? I used to use left for the obvious reason of a WASD gaming but some long time ago I realized majority of the keys I type are on the left side. So I switched to right and pretty much impossible to use right thumb like I used to now.

Bonus question: Which shift key do you use? I always use the one opposite of the hand I need to type the key, unless I have multiple cap I need then I just hold it down until I finish. :p

When touch typing, always the right thumb for space. I usually use right shift as well, even when it doesn't make sense, but not always. It's kind of random on the shifts.

Left shift, right spacebar. When I'm raging I use both thumbs for spacebar.

Judging by the wear on my keyboard spacebar; right thumb. I use left only when I play WASD

Left thumb always. I just tried it with my right and it feels funky

when viewing porn I just tap it with the snake

Mouse is displeased.

Right thumb for touch typing, left pinky for shift-ing.
I use my 4th finger for back space, I'm curious, which finger do you use for backspace?

Right handed and use my left thumb for space. Use the left shift, usually with my ring finger.

Index finger for space since I have no thumbs and ring fingers for shift since I have no pinky's either.

I use my right index finger to hit space. Not sure why I never used my thumb but basically i've become accustomed to typing with my right hand rotated about 30 degrees to the left rather than keeping my fingers on the home row. That puts my index finger right over the space key.

Both thumbs for spacebar. Opposite hand for shift key, unless I need to type a lot in caps and use Caps Lock. While doing Win32 GUI programming one needs the Caps Lock key a lot lest one desires RSI :D

When gaming, WASD: Left thumb.

When touch typing: Right thumb pretty much all the time.

Shift keys: Usually use the pinky finger on the hand that I am not using to press the letter key that needs to be uppercase.

Space: Left thumb, always
Shifts: Either pinky finger, completely unrelated to the actual letter I want capitalized. For the "I" in the last sentence (and the symbols in this one,) I used the right shift key. For the "F" at the top of this sentence and the one before it I swapped from left the first time to right the second time.

I use both hands depending on the situation, but mostly use left thumb for space bar. As far as shift, I use both shift keys. If the keys are on the left side of keyboard I need to hit I use the right shift and use the left when I need to hit the right keys.

Definitely right for space bar. The finish on my space bar is heavily worn on the right of my keyboard. As for the shift key I almost always use my left pinky finger.

I'll use either thumb or sometimes both for the spacebar. For the shift key, I use whichever hand is not the one used to press the key I want capitalized.
