Well im jsut thinking right now ( since i have No money),,
i noticed theres two versions of it..

athlon 3400 with 1 meg of cache at 2.2ghz
or
athlon 3400 with 512k cache at 2.4 ghz

which will be better .. i was thinking the 2.2 ghz one and Oc to around 2.4 ghz and be done with it.. but i wanna hear the experts opinions.

Newegg.com
$345 - AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 2.2GHz 1MB L2 Cache, Socket 754 Retail
$399 - AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 2.4GHz 512k L2 Cache, Socket 754 Retail
$404 - AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 2.2GHz 1MB L2 Cache, Socket 754 DTR Notebooks - OEM 62watts

Dig around for some benchmarks I guess. Logically it would seem that the higher priced 2.4GHz processor should have better stock performance, but thats only speculation. Those are expensive processors for not having any money.

depends if your going to overclock.....if you are going to OC get the 1mb..and OC the difference.....if youre going to run it stock the extra 200mhz will be more beneficial

What success have people had with overclocking the AMD Athlon 64 DTR Notebooks, any better than regular Athlon 64s?

well im gonna try to sell my xbox and my old pc.. guessing ill get 500 bucks from all that.. then ill get an athlon 3500 .. casue zipzoomfly has it for 390 bucks.. then ill get a abit mobo .... and have to suffer with my pc 2700 ram (which ill probably oc the ram til it is about to splode until i can afford new ram.. ..after all that i get myself a better video card :p
