I want to upgrade from 4GB of RAM to 8GB and I am not sure which kit to get?

1) G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

$54.99 x 2 = $109.98

or

2) CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

$59.99 x 2 = $119.98

I do a lot of gaming and PhotoShop CS4 and I will also be upgrading my graphics card to an EVGA nVidia GT-295 FTW (when it comes out). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

My Computer:

Operating System - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1
MotherBoard - EVGA nForce 780i SLI 775 A1
Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz / Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Memory - Corsair Dominator 4GB (4 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) with Corsair CMXAF1 Fan
Power Supply - PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad
Video Graphics - 2x EVGA e-GeForce 8800GT SSC with Akimbo Dual Slot Fan Kit SLI

I would go with the G.Skill out of those two. It's cheaper in the end, and doesn't have any rebates to deal with. Real-world performance between the two sticks will be nearly, if not completely, identical.

negative he should avoid potential problems and put the Corsair Dominators in to match what he already has.

His current set is four 1GB sticks. He would have to replace all of them to get 8GB in his motherboard, so compatibility isn't an issue because he won't be using any of the older DIMMs.

thanks man! :)

I have Corsair dominator 2 x 2 GB and it's great. Though I have note heard anything bad about G.Skill either

Just upgraded my system and have 2x 2GB corsair dominators, working great so far, havnt pushed them beyond 353FSB (3 Ghz cpu) 4-4-4-12 timings yet, still breaking everything in ;)

Is there any point in getting 1066 ram to go with that Q6600? Wouldn't 800 be just as good - or are you thinking you can top 3.6 with it?
