need a new PSU everyone. The ultra X3 1600 breathed its last breath today.

Enermax maxrevo 1350 watt.

OR

Thermaltake Toughpower TP-1350M

Over at newegg the Toughpower is around 350 bucks. The enermax is $260.00 and with a mail in re-bate its even cheaper.

What psu would everyone here consider.

I was looking at the Enermax but now i am not sure. I have even read all the reviews on these two...its close. What do you all think!

Going to be running an OCed 920 with over 1.5V most likely
and 3-4 5870 vidcards.

Just looking for all the gurus to help me out here today. thanks everyone.

1000 watts would probably be enough to handle that system, 5870's aren't known for high power consumption.

That said, I would go with the Enermax. Both are top power supplies, but I cannot justify spending $100 more for a miniscule change in quality which makes no difference in the real world.

but overclocking a 920 i7 @ 4.5ghz+ @ 1.55+ more volts. running refridgeration to keep it cool. anyways ive seen charts on a 4ghz+ i7 920's eating 500+watts alone. 3 5870 should be somewhere around 800 mabe little more, along with motherboard. running SSD and a dvd writer so nothing special there.

Enermax i was pointing more into that direction. Can someone else help convince me otherwise.

i think thats the whole system though, not just the chip

haha thanks Zero...i guess thats enough swaying of the masses let the GAME BEGIN!

I think his can use up to 300 watts if its 1.55 volts +. Mine at 1.375 or so(4.2ghz) pulls about 230-250watts on its own

I also agree on the enermax.
