Where to find an extra large mouse pad? (Deskpad)

look up SteelSeries on Newegg they got some pretty big sized ones.

I just use two extra large pads to do the same thing (Razer Mantis Control 360mm x 440mm) The 'join' is under the keyboard so absolutely a non issue. TBH it's overkill, I did hunt around for alternatives subsequently and you can find pads of the same type and thickness, but different area where the sides will match i.e.

360mm x 260mm medium pad
360mm x 440mm large pad

Look around the product sites for Razer, Qpad, Mionix, Roccat, NoIDpad, Steelseries & probably a dozen others that I haven't thought of just now.

The Razer pads are very nice. I have the Control and Speed versions (as well as the destructor but that is different). They are not HUGE, but still very large.

They have held up well over the years as well.

I've had an xtrac ripper xl pad for 4 years now and it's just starting to show some wear.
The xl is 11x17 but they make bigger pads xxl is 36" i believe

I have the XXL, bought it a few months ago and it's awesome. Has enough room for my mouse on the right, full size keyboard in the middle and gamepad on the left with room to spare!

Also, you could easily put another mousepad on top of it. Sometimes I prefer my hard plastic pad for FPS, so I place it on top of the XXL and game away. It does get a little dusty/dirty but it wipes down easily with a damp cloth.

I have a question for all of you big mouse pad owners, those who have a cloth pad, doesn't it get wet if you are in an intense FPS game and thus make it grungy?

I only ask because I am in the same boat as the OP, want something bigger then my XTrac Pads Pro HS with a plastic top on it to something taller and wider. I have looked at the Steelseries qck+ and seems like a great size just worried about the cloth coming from plastic.

Wet? Sure. If you spill something on it... other than that, unless you have EXTREMELY sweaty palms, it's a non issue.

If you do have that problem, you might want to try this stuff:

Ghost Grip

It's meant for athletes, so it should work fine for Cyber Athletes.

Oh, and +1 for Xtrac. I've had a ripper for 3 or 4 years now, and it's just barely starting to show it's age.

I've washed some of my ripper's in the wash... air-dry... makes them look brand new...

I got an XL and and XXL, I gotta wash my XXL pretty soon.

But I will say, if you don't store them properly, they will get creases and warp. takes a while before it becomes completely flat / normal. But they do eventually go back.

Ripper XXL is cheap too... ~$20

I was just wondering what mouse you are using and you play any FPS? I have their Pro HS and I really like the slick smooth surface on it and wanted to know how bad, if any, is the friction is on your XL pad? XXL is honestly just too large.

G500, I've used DeathAdder, G9, and MX518's too... but still it doesn't matter...

You get used to the cloth surface, I like it better than hard/smooth surfaces honestly. It's smooth, just different..

And for how much they cost, you can try one out and see if you like it... just give it a week or two before you decide.

The desk I have is smooth and flat enough that I really don't need one (or maybe I'm just used to not having one). When I did actually try a mousepad, I just went to www.mcmaster.com and bought a small sheet of delrin; though you could just get a sheet of 12" x 12" x 1mm teflon for ~$20 shipped.

I just bought the Ripper XL and is being shipped so waiting on that, it was that or the hammer so we will see soon. :)

I just got my Xtrac Ripper XL yesterday and I am very impressed.
I'm a current owner of 4 Ratpadz XTs, and used Ratpadz XT at work for 4 years now.

I'm very happy with my Ripper XL and will think about buying a Ripper XXL and cutting it for a few smaller pads. The main thing I like about the Ripper XL over the Ratpadz is the height.

The tall Ratpadz XT makes my wrist sore when lying my whole arm on the desk. The Ripper XL is much softer on my wrist and much more comfortable.
