Since finding out that Flash has their own cookies that can be used to track a user I have disabled Flash storage to stop it but am interested to know where it stores its cookies. I went to a porn site recently and it complained that it couldn't store flash cookies on my PC so know I have stopped them from being able to do so.

woah, i have a lot of those in my folder..thanks for the heads up vertigo.

Thanks. I'll get that add-on but if you go to Flash global settings and set storage to 0kb they won't be able to store cookies at all anymore.

Ok, have it installed now and it says the below but like I said I have only come across one porn site that has ever complained about not being able to store flash cookies and denied me access to the site. Thus isn't the add-on that that had a privacy issue is it? I remember reading about one of the addons not being safe and thought it might be this one.

"The particular advantage of BetterPrivacy is that it does not block LSO's from being written to your harddisk (as the Adobe manger does). Blocking has severe disadvantages since the website will know that LSO's are disabled. Many sites have been reported to deny their service -or to not load at all- if Flash cookie data storage is disabled. The same applies to LSO's that are deleted within only a few seconds. LSO's often have a useful functionality - so I recommend to (auto-) delete them not before you left the appropriate website, e.g. after at least 30 minutes. Similar applies to DOM storage."
