8800GT~8800GTX, new 8800GTS should be faster right, I think I'm gonna wait longer

It's sooo confusing! (well, to me anyways)
eVGA has a new 8800GTS out NOW that claims 96+ piplines whatever that means.
It doesn't say 112, or 96+12.... just 96+.

Why would nVidia want to drop the bandwidth from 320 to 256 on a NEW GTS?
Wouldn't that be a downgrade?
not really, the 8800gt only has a 256bit memory interface, and look how well it performs....Why would nVidia want to drop the bandwidth from 320 to 256 on a NEW GTS?

See, that's what I was afraid of. All the new GTS is going to have is the upped pipes (to the same level as the GT, but under GTX).
eVGA's revamped GTS 640 spec sheet. MSRP = $400

I guess, I'll have to wait for the benchmarks to see HOW the 112 pipe GTS compares to the 112 pipe GT (bandwidth (320vs256) and memory (640vs512)being the difference). Oh, and about $140 more than the GT.
