what's the benefit of a suspension keyboard?

won't this defect the purpose of press down a key, since the suspension offset it?

and if it's useful, won't all the other brands carry it?

It would make the keys slightly less responsive because they aren't as stiff, probably not enough to really matter for anything, but it's definitely not something I would do as a hardcore gamer. I want all the force from my finger going into activating the key as quickly as possible and performing an action in agame. None of my energy should be wasted moving the rest of the keyboard.

I think they're doing it mostly for the sound profile and maybe they like the feel. Not for me, but I totally understand it.

People use keyboards a lot so they go to great lengths and spend hundreds of dollars for things that seem pointless to everyone else. It's also just fun to build and mod things.

but that video is showing 2 different feature, the sound is from the magnetic keys, and that has nothing to do w/ those 6 suspension. It's a fancy keyboard for $549, but if I only need the magnetic feature, I can get 1 from Steel Series for $200. I never heard of a 6x suspension on a keyboard before

It's a super cool looking design. My biggest issues with it are the price and the keyboard height. I'm not sure I could deal with the latter.

it also takes up more space than a regular keyboard. But their website is quite impressive. Their older project also looks good (so called Group buy). I wonder if these are low production, as such, the cost is so high
