What's an ideal windows antivirus to use when mining?

New to mining. Dealing with anti-malware mechanisms is a big nuisance, not to mention having to evaluate each potential threat. I generally run avast on windows but the exclusion mechanism is unusable for this. What should I use instead?

And what's a good way to know that a given miner executable isn't going to bone me?

defender works fine and you can specify files or a whole dir to exclude.

why? defender(keep fogetting its renamed) windows security is better than either of those now.

I just setup an exclusion for the mining folder. Easy enough to do. No matter how many times you tell them it is a false positive. AV automatically associates crypto programs as malware.

I used Webroot for many years and I could not get it to work with miners even if you whitelisted the executables or folders. Switched to Malwarebytes because of that and it's been fine.
