I had it for PC. It was a 2D Prince of Persia-style platformer. I think it was dark and you could play as a man or a beast-type thing. Maybe there were flames everywhere too.

It was made in the last ten years. Maybe you didn't play as the beast, but he would pop out from time to time and attack you. Or maybe both.

I'm sure you are thinking of Hunter Hunted. It's a PoP style game where you can play as the man or beast, where the beast hunts you if you are the man and visa versa.

I saw this thread and thought it might be altered beast, but I own Hunter Hunted and never even thought of it. I only got so far in that game before Death (that floaty thing that dissapears and reappears that you can't kill) pissed me off so much that I couldn't play anymore. Hella fun in multiplayer co-op though .

Whoa, Hunter Hunted. Me and my friend used to play the PCGamer demo (how long ago was that?) multiplayer 1v1 for hours. I never did buy it, but it was a lot of fun for a demo.
