Kind of bored at work and wanted to see what people have loaded up lately to bring them back in time. For me, I loaded up MDK 2 last night and had a blast playing the first few missions. I saw it mentioned in another thread the other day and it brought back images and good memories from when I first played the game back when it was released. So fire away what you have loaded up lately!

I loaded up WarCraft 3. I never finished it when I first bought it at release. It's kinda fun. :)

All using widescreen/high resolution mods in the last few weeks:

Baldur's Gate
Icewind Dale
Fallout
Fallout 2

I downloaded the Classic Doom mod for Doom 3. Then I installed and played through a lot of MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries. I practically grew up on MechWarrior and Doom as a kid.

So not quite the originals, just the old school gameplay with new eye candy and shhhtuff. :D

UT2004 for me. I really like playing Onslaught, even against the computer. I'm also thinking of firing up RTCW and AvP 2 again. Two of my all time favorites.

Trackmania Nations, me and a friend used to play it in university while talking to each other across the free phone lines. Used to have an advantage in America's Army...

Thinking of sticking in Doom 3 or maybe Age of Empires 2 tonight.

Zelda: A link to the past. That was about 6 months ago, and I did finally beat contra 3 on hard with an emulator using the save state feature (I wouldn't be able to beat it without save state).

I tried to load up Deus Ex just recently but the CD was scratched beyond repair - sadly it seems I may never be able to play it again :(

Ive been trying to find some resolution mods, as Ive felt the urge to play Diablo2 again. But, all I can find is a 1280x1024 and I think it wasn't window mode. If there was a window mode I could handle 1280x1024 on 1680x1050 Im prety sure.

I play X-Com every other year or so and beaten it like six times now. Replayed Deus Ex this past fall. This D3 stuff makes me want to replay D1, so I'll probably do that at some point.

It's like $10 on steam, so buy buy buy buy buy.

Final Fantasy 8, I probably spent the first hour stocking up on thunders and cures.

I loaded up a C64 emulator and play Commodore 64 games every once in a while.

hmm Warcraft 3, I may have to dig that up as well. I found a res mod for MDK 2 and have it running at 1680x1050.

xcom
baldurs gate series
moo2
just redid the knights of the old republic games
mechcommander
not old but been out for awhile, galciv2
sid meier's alpha centauri

You can edit the war3 registry to run in whatever resolution you want. Of course there is no widescreen FoV fix that I know of but it doesn't stop me from running it in 2560x1600.

Steel Panthers, there are a couple of free versions of it out that are made for windows.

I recently set up my old Megadrive and had at Road Rash II and Jungle Strike.

Pretty fucking tasty.

OOHHOHOHOHOHIJUSTREMEMBEREDSOMETHING EDIT: Bought all the Doom games on Steam. YES, SON.

I've been playing since it first came out in 1995. The free version for Windows (Steel Panthers: World at War) is a definite improvement on the old DOS version. I keep the files backed up on a disc in case Matrix no longer distributes it. An excellent game that will run on any computer. You've good taste in games my friend.

I think I will load up Quake 1 and 2 tonight and bust some levels out.
A while ago I put in Outlaws. Played til I got stuck, promised my self I would rear a Walk Through and beat the game... but haven't picked it back up :(
Great game btw! Loads of fun! Killer cut scenes!

You can play windowed, just add a -w in the shortcut I think. Been a while.

Yeah, you can add that to the normal Diablo2 shortcut, and run 800x600 in window mode. Ever try playing that on a 1680x1050 screen? Might as well pull out some goggles with it ;)

I was talking about mods/"hacks" that do psuedo resolutions for Diablo2. There were a few different ones I saw, but the higher ones didn't have window mode, irrc.

Red Baron 3D but only because I bought TrackIR and I saw that RB3D with mod supports TrackIR so wanted to test it out.

I have WinME on a P4 9600XT 1GB ram machine in my bedroom and have quite a few older games loaded on it. Balder's Gate, Fallout, Jagged Alliance2 etc.

Well Ghost Recon 1 and KOTOR are still on my Hard Drive.

I reloaded Freedom Fighters, which has not aged well at all. I am thinking about reloading Xwing Alliance and redownloading XWAUpgrade again.

Diablo 1 !!!! me and my borther both installed it and played for a while very fun game and amazingly it worked on vista lol. (it took some tweaking though lol)

Commander Keen: Goodbye, Galaxy!

omg when I was like 7-8 years old me and my dad would play this. Oh, it brought back so many memories and frustrations when I played this.

I still think it is one of the best games ever to date. Good old early 90's
