Rivatuner lets me push up the core speeds but when I use the desktop properties nvidia tab to overclock and try to test it, it keeps giving me failed to run test, lower speed.

I have the latest driver installed, did the pencil voltage mod, and have a zalman vf900 installed.

What software should I be using to overclock my evga 7600gt? Should I use another (third party firmware)? I'm on windows x64 as well.

nvtweaker. and try to look at the sticky, they ahve list of softwares there.

Powerstrip and Rivatuner are your best bets. Powerstrip has the ability to save OC's as a profile so all you have to do is click that profile and bam, your card is OC'ed to that presaved (by you) OC. I like that. I can easily switch between stock (when im not gaming since my card is volt modded) and heavy OC'ed (725/1000). Coolbits sucks but it is a good way to totally make sure your card is OCed with the other programs. I just use it to confirm that my OC has stayed. I also confirm with ATI tool as well (even though I really dont use it anymore since the powerstrip/rivatuner combo R0x0rZ m4H b0z0rZ j00! :p
