Well they packed a cylinder in a box not deep enough for it... probably UPS jacked it up, I hate UPS.

I am using an EC Technology 8200 DPI Gaming Mouse and Thermaltake Poseidon Z.

I would like to upgrade both. The reason why I am using these is budget. The Mouse was like $20 on amazon as a blowout price before they were discontinued and I got the TTE on Massdrop. There was some difference vs the one on the market but I can't remember what. It has Cherry Blues and Blue LED.

The problems I have = Cannot turn blue led off on the KB which bothers me, especially at night (hurts the eyes) and as my first mechanical, I feel blues are slightly too fast for me.

The mouse is actually great but I want to try a vertical due to my weird hands.

Just changed from my Logitech G710+ and my 10+ year old MX518 to a Razer Blackwidow Elite and a Mamba Wireless I really like the Mamba Chroma with the charging cradle and the LED lines but I hate running Synapse 2 and 3 on the same machine and I dont think Razer is ever going to add the Mamba Chroma to Synapse 3 :(

Cant ever go back to a non-medchanical keyboard..... even using a my laptop keyboard is just painful

Just made a big change to all Logitech. G13 + G900 chaos spectrum wired/wireless mouse + G910 Orion Spark RGB kB... I’m putting my first gen K70 and the Glaive I’ve been using for a while into my spares pool. This is my gaming rig... I have a k70 lux and a mamba chroma tournament on my every day rig.

I didn't end liking the G910 board too much so went back to my K70... As for the G900... loved the tracking and wireless bits but the shape too flat for me so I swapped that out with a G703 and am much happier.

How are you liking the low profile? I have the original k70 and was looking to move that to another system and get a new kb.

Initial impressions are very positive. These keycaps have what feels like a rubberized texture, so bottoming out doesn't result in the typical "clack" that most other mechanical keyboards have. There's still a noise of course, but this keyboard should be completely acceptable for office use.

I haven't gamed with it yet, but typing is a joy. The true test will be using this for a while and then seeing how it feels to use a full-height mechanical board again.

Since I've never quite been happy with my G502 Proteus Core, I decided to try my luck with the new re-release of the MX518:

    203763_IMG_20190327_223326.jpg

My hand feels immediately more at home on this mouse body. I knew I loved my old G5 and G500 for a reason.

I'm still not thrilled though. The trend today seems to be for super light mice, and the new MX518 is no different at 101g.

I'm considering seeing if I can crack it open and add some weights to it.

Even my 502 with all the optional weights installed is a little lighter than I like it. I remember my G5 and G500 feeling pretty perfect when they were maxed out with all of their heaviest weights.

My old G500 I also ran with all the weights installed, and loved it. It was perfect for me. The G500 weighed 164g with the empty weight tray inserted. There were 6 weight slots, and the heavy weights weighed 4.5g each, so that made the total weight 164+6x4.5 = 191g. I haven't held it in a while, but I remember that feeling perfect to me.

So I need to find a way to add ~90g of weight to the MX518, almost doubling its weight. A 3 Oz lead fishing sinker should do the job.

I'm mostly using an MX Master 2S (it was on sale). In many ways i prefer the MX Revolution, but I could never get Uber Options to work with The Edge Browser. In many ways, I like the old MX 1000 even better, but the scrolling button quit working on it.

Well I was using a G610 keyboard with red switches until the warden spilled beer on it a couple weeks ago blowing one of the surface mount resistors and taking out a couple keys. Now I'm back to using my many years old Zboard. Still love this thing after all these years and even more so since I go the gaming keys working again.

Thanks for this, I'm going to give this one a go. Currently using a G603 and not real pleased with it. I forgot how heavy wireless mice were and I don't like it.

This will be my second choice if the el cheapo mouse doesn't work out. I've had a bad run of Logitech mice left buttons going bad requiring a hard press to get them to work after a short time of use so I'd prefer to try another brand. I still have my old G5 and MX510 that are still functional but both suffer from said left button weirdness.

Not all of them. Also, you know you can run a single AA in that G603, right?

    G603 with two AAs: 135g
    G603 with one AA: 112g
    G900 with Li-Ion: 107g
    G305 with one AA: 99g

I have the G900 and G305 and find both of them quite light for wireless mice (I've had heavy ones and like you, I don't care for them).

The difference between the G305 and the G603 with two AAs is quite significant.

Anyway, good luck in your search!

Let me know how it goes, it's pretty damn good quality for 15 bucks and I've never had issues gaming with it. Make sure to download the software for it to customize your DPI buttons to your liking.

Other than that, it works great right out of the box.

I believe Victsing and Pictek are sister companies.
By far the best compact wireless mouse I've used to date, and for $10?? Can't beat it.

Logitech MX5500 Bluetooth - it's SO OLD, but the input lag is not bad and since I use it on the couch, its the only unit that works for me - Does anyone have a good Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse combo they can recommend?

Doing that halves the battery life, but at 250 hours instead of 500 it's still pretty generous.

I have two computers and it was always jarring to switch back and forth so I decided I'd buy the same monitor, mouse and keyboard for each to make them feel similar.
I have a pair of Roccat Kiro mouse that I bought refurb off Ebay for ~20$ each last year.
I have a pair of Steelseries Apex 100 that I bought from Fry's last year $30 each.

Both are great. I do not upgrade these things often. I plan to have them for years.

Alright, changed it up a little from the above.

    IMG_20190402_225049~2.jpg

Still using the Ducky One with green switches and white LED's, but have now switched my G502 for one of the relaunched MX518's, but custom weight modded.

The 101g was WAY too light for me, so I modded it up to 185g.

A buddy of mine gave me an Epic Gear - Defiant mechanical keyboard.

It's real nice looking buy super loud and the keys themselves are really big.....

So, I went and scooped up another Logitech K120 cheapy out of habit.

    - I tried a nice keyboard and intend to try again at some point, but this one was a no-go for me.

Ducky One 2 with white LED back lighting, and cherry mx Black key switches. Best keyboard I've ever owned. Mouse is just a generic-whatever is available at Amazon-cheap. I won't spend more than $15 for a mouse as I've not found them to be any worse than $60 mice and I use a mouse at low sensitivity anyway.
