what memory timings should a 6800 have?

I'm looking to buy a gf 6800 and saw that the eVGA is a lot cheaper then any other brand. The memory is 2.8ns, but i thought that a 6800 should have 2.2ns memory? then the GT has 2.0ns and the ultra 1.6ns?

is the evga cheap because it using slower then normal ram?
 
The GeForce 6800 reference design is 325mhz core, 700mhz DDR1 memory.

2.8ns is the reference speed memory for the 6800 standard, as it is rated at 700mhz.

in other words 2.8ns memory is normal for the 6800 standard.

The GT & Ultra use 2.0ns and 1.6ns GDDR3 memory respectively.
 
ok thanks, i'm still surprised that they can sell it for that price and include farcry:D
