what kind of essential windows 8 apps/ software are you running? with win8

Right now, calander, mail, and weather.

For fun... just minesweeper :p
 
Big ones a lot of people will want in addition to the Microsoft ones:

Skype
Netflix
Kindle
Hulu Plus

I can't say that I've found a killer Metro app, though I like the Win8Calc calculator. There's a couple decent time wasting games. But I think the whole Angry Bird series is coming out for Metro on Friday as well as a few other games I'll probably pick up. And there's a free platformer called Jetpack Joyride that's actually kind of fun for me and I'm not really a platformer.

I guess for me I really have the bulk of what I need and want on a tablet, web browsing eReading, video, music, the basic consumptive things. I use OneNote desktop a LOT but when good touch games come out I'll snag those. Plants vs. Zombies is great.
 
Do you have to buy an app multiple times for multiple machines, or can you install a purchase onto more than one machine?
 
One paid app can be installed on up to five devices under one Microsoft account I believe.
