What is the best free spyware/virus removal scans or software.

I need to know what the best free spyware/virus scans is that I could run in or out of windows or online that will remove the spyware/viruses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not AVG and not free spyware doctor or free Spy Sweeper.

If you have to go free, Avast and SuperAnti is good. My suggestion, if you can buy one. Either Eset Smart Security or Kaspersky Internet Suite.

Any other free ones even? How about online scans? Is there any that will let me delete a file at startup besides hijack this, it just closes out when I try it.

Trend Micro has an online scanner called House Call. It scans your computer in one of two ways, via ActiveX or Java. They'll leave the choice to you.
