I need a freeware program for capturing an analog source (A Sony Video HI-8 camera connected VIA S-Video)
I have access to a Hauppauge PVR-150 and and AVerMedia A317 (I would prefer to use this as the computer is already assembled and running (It is a Dell XPS One A2420).
I want a program that acts like a VCR, as in it has record,Pause,Stop, Play, etc keys and I don't need to set up a guide EPG or timers.
I just want a simple program that can record when told.
I can use the Hauppauge WinTV (Which I would prefer but I have to get a computer with a PCI slot which I can easily get, but it would require me setting it up as the other one is almost ready to go I just need the software.
Also does the anyone know the Specs on the AVerMedia card? I searched but all I could find is it is a Hybrid single tuner PCI-Express Mini-Card
Thanks
