After doing research to replace my crappy Logitech K830 I thought I wanted a laptop style keyboard. Before the K830 which I found in a junk pile at work I had Logitech K810. I was in love with the K810 but after going through three of them in the past few years(broken keys, one stopped charging) and finding out the K810 is discontinued I am ready to try the Ducky One 2(Black) RGB TKL with Silent Reds.

I want to pull the trigger but It looks like most places are out of stock and on pre-order like this page, is there a good alternative to this type of keyboard?

The HyperX Alloy FPS Pro, Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition, and APEX 7 TKL are available for purchase. Corsair also has the K70 low profile w/ speed switches, although it's a full size board.

Sucks about the dry market right now. I looked into a One 2 to replace my seven year old Shine II TKL... no luck. Ordered a PBT cap set instead, and she is like new! Not a single bad switch or LED after years of abuse. If you can afford to wait, it might be worth it to pre-order the Ducky.

edit: Corsair also has the K65 LUX available with MX reds

Thank you, more info for my research!

The Glorious Modular RGB lets you hot swap switches for some impressive customization potential. Never tried it, myself. I prefer all-white LEDs on my keyboard.

I think the ducky is going to be way better built than the GMMK mentioned... I'd wait for the ducky and if I had to buy something cheap like this to keep as a spare or sell later for ~most/some of my money back ... That ducky is pretty nice, nice enough to make me ponder my dislike for cherry stabilizers... I don't think spending nearly as much / more on something else is going to leave you feeling that satisfied later on.

blah blah wait for the ducky and get something like this for now...if you need something right now.

$35~

Update

I ended up purchasing the "DURGOD K320 Nebula RGB Cherry MX Silent Red Switch PBT Keycaps Mechanical Gaming Keyboard". Looking forward to a better typing experience like I had on my Logitech K810. My current K830 will go into the dumpster once the Durgod arrives. The K830 is the worst keyboard I have ever used. Fingers hurt after typing for a while which is not the case on the Lenovo Thinkpad I use for work.

Very good choice! I was going to recommend Durgod, but didn't know if they had RGB as an option. I sold my Ducky One/2 after I tried the Durgod 320. Mine has Cherry Silvers, all-white LEDs, and grey/dark grey PBT key caps. It's quickly become my favorite mech keyboard. The only improvement I'd like is an aluminum frame, but that's more of a wish list item. Everything else about the 320 is outstanding. (y)

Glad you like the K320, expecting mine to arrive in a couple weeks. I also have my eye on the white version for a work keyboard. From what I understand it does not have LED backlight but since they keys are white it probably doesn't matter: https://www.banggood.com/DURGOD-K32....html?rmmds=search&ID=515630&cur_warehouse=CN
