not true, fact is it could be doing more things, the problem is the fact that 8x is as fast as we got, so they have to worry about working within that constraint
pci-e will alliviate a lot of constraint

PCI Express will offer other improvements besides just bandwidth. Like you stated, the improvement of 8x over 4x AGP is non-existant. I have read that the way that the video card will interact with writing to memory will be one of the biggest advantages of PCI Express over AGP.Originally posted by jagec
