What happened to the "price reduction"?

I thought I read back in November that the 3870 was going to be reduced from the $219 price to under $200? Seems like that reduction is coming along awfully slow eh? Not only that, but the price is still gouged up to $249???

Is it going to come down soon?

I sold my 7900GT to my friend for $100 'cause his video card died, now I'm waiting for a good replacement for under $200. I tried a 3850 256, but it wasn't quite fast enough for a few of the games I play.

seems they are selling well and don't need to reduce prices but there are 512 versions of 3850 with custom cooling under 200 $ you can check them out
