I'm going to build a Mini iTX system as follows:

PC case: Lian Li PC-Q07
Board: Zotac GeForce 8300 iTX
CPU: Intel Q9550S ... or ... E8400
RAM: 2 x 2 GB G.SKILL PC2-800 CL4 (F2-6400CL4D-4GBHK)
HDD: WD10EADS (Green Power) ... and/or ... OCZ Vertex SSD

That's it. No discrete graphics card, no ODD, nothing else

Question: What PSU to go for ?

1. Silverstone SST-ST35F Strider Series 350 W
2. Silverstone ST50EF-Plus SC (shorter cable for SFF)
3. Thermaltake Litepower 350W
4. Enermax Liberty ECO 400 W (modular)
5. Corsair VX 550 (modular)
6. Be Quiet (Pure Power) 300 W
7. or ... ?

I would go with Enermax liberty because i have a revo and have always used enermax in my builds it never let me down before.

The Enermax Liberty ECO 400 W (modular):

That's about 75.- Euro = $ 100.- = £ 67.-

Out of those, I would recommend either the Corsair VX550, the Enermax Liberty ECO 400W, or the Silverstone ST50EF-Plus SC. Preferably the Corsair due to the extra capacity, but just go with whichever is the cheapest.
5. Corsair VX 550 (modular)
The VX550 is not modular. Perhaps you're thinking of the HX520?

You're quite right there !!

The Corsair HX 450 W cost approx Euro 65.- = $ 86.- = £ 58.00

The Enermax cost approx Euro 75.00 = $ 100.- = £ 67.-

The Silverstone cost approx the same as the Enermax.

Go with the HX450 then. It's better quality than the Silverstone and has a larger capacity than the Enermax.

You already know what's inside the HX450 before it even hits the market? ;)

The SilverStone is based off an Enhance ATX-050. Not exactly a slouch. :)

First of all, sorry for my typo above. It's the Zotac 9300 and not 8300, duh !

I have this very model of PSU in my Silverstone Sugo 01 for over a year now, it's an excellent high quality PSU.
Only thing, the cables could be a little bit more flexible.

... It's the FSP 250-60 PFK. I haven't been able to find it anywhere for sale, ...
Hmm, doesn't seem to be available anywhere.

Someone else in a different forum advised the following:

Your power usage will be somewhere in between, perhaps idling at <50W and max load at 115W. A lot of the 80+ efficiency PSUs don't hit 80% until you get near 20% rated load. For you, this would be 50W/.2 = 250W. So, something in the 200-250W might be better suited for your application.

I will check again for PSUs lower than 450 W, maybe even lower than 300 W and update this thread shortly.
