what download manager to use?

i have a horribly slow internet connection.. 26.4 bps and my isp kicks me off after 5 hrs and i have to redial.. does anybody know a good download manager that can redial for me and automatically start my downloads back up? i'm using DAP now but it sucks.. it wont automatically pick my downloads back up.. i see there is a redial feature in the options but it doesnt do anything.. maybe i need the full version.. i dunno.. but is there another good program out there that will do it? and one without spyware would be nice.. DAP sucks with that too

sorry if this has been asked many times before.. but the search doesnt work and i'm not a regular on the software forums.. thanks
