What do you guys think about the WD 8TB Easystore HDD?

HI there,
I would like your opinions on the WD 8TB HDD Easystore....Is it really fast? I was wondering what the speed of the drive was? In the enclosure, is it red or white now? Also I have a question, Do I have to use their backup software or can I use Macrium Reflect? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I know I'm asking stupid questions. Sorry.

they are all white labels as far as I know. Haven't seen anyone pull an actual Red label in a long time. There are numerous threads which discuss the drive models found inside. The color of the label doesn't mean anything any longer.

You can use any software with any drive.
 
If you plan on pulling the drive out of the enclosure also look up WD White label 3.3V mod or WD White label drive not detected by the computer. I am going to get the Mybook version (either the 12TB or 14TB) as it is cheaper then the lower end "elements" line as of right now and I will be removing it from the enclosure for internal SATA use.
