I haven't played the third one. I do see a lot of people saying things along these lines, (Lost Planet, progressively worse, etc.) but I also see people saying that it's not nearly as bad as what other say, so I think I'll eventually give it a try. I kind of view the first two as the difference between Alien and Aliens. The first is more suspenseful, more sci-fi-horror, the second being a bit more non-stop action. I like both of them for different reasons, but prefer the original overall. It just gets the type of atmosphere I enjoy in this kind of game right. No opinion on the third yet since I haven't touched it, but just from a visual standpoint, it does remind me of Lost Planet.
Yeah its not bad. I'm still enjoying it just doesn't have the same mood as the first 2.
Good to know. That's kind of what I pictured in my head.
Tried No Man's Sky. What a pile of shit.
So I'll be playing some Overwatch, Arkham Knight, and need to finish Doom. All while drinking Love Child #7.
Grinding in Titan Quest / Grim Dawn.
So punched a few hours in Fallout 4. Hit Level 13 now. The wasteland is a frickin' dangerous place. I really feel threatened in this game and I love it. Survival is quite intense.
Also, played a bunch of Forza 6. Game is absolutely dope. Cruised around in my Ferrari La Ferrari and beat some idiot times.
I had my disc for Gears of War Ultimate Edition in the drive so I played it a bit. The graphics in the game are top notch and gunplay is still tight. However, I couldn't get myself to indulge more than that. I have played Gears of War already about 3 times and I can't do it the fourth.
I also had my eyes on finishing the BF4 SP campaign. However, made maybe 2 checkpoints before I wanted the suffering to end. I can't believe I installed a 50 gig+ game to run through 7 levels of SP and I have an extremely hard time motivating myself to go past level 4. lol.
Did 1 mission in Mad Max and also just roamed about kicking ass. Game is quite well done but is now extremely repetitive. I have very little motivation to finish it. Though story does intrigue me a bit. Need to get to dat Gastown.
Did 1 mission in StarCraft 2 Legacy of the Void. Campaign is quite well done but somehow it got backlogged to hell. I may resume since there is a dearth of RTS games out these days. Which reminds me that I never quite finished Company of Heroes 2. Also on the turn based side, XCOM 2 got backlogged. Never quite got into it, even though I loved XCOM.
Fun gaming times. Btw, I also turned on Witcher 3 on PC. Holy smokes, the game on PC looks phenomenal. However, I already played and finished it on the PS4 so will have a hard time going through it again as always. Double dipping never really works for me. After MGS V, I am not going to bother. I am still wondering if I should have bought Deus Ex on PS4 or PC (already have it now on PC). I don't think I will get much time on PC to do anything to be honest once my kids are back. Might have been a bad purchase.
Not enough hours in the day to play games to be honest and I have just so many of them. Playing them all is really an insurmountable task at this point in time.
I have only finished the following games this year, which is quite possibly the lowest I have done in any year, since the age of 8.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Until Dawn
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Quantum Break
Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone
Witcher 3 Blood and Wine
Uncharted 4
Doom
Forza Motorsport 6 APEX
Call of Duty Black Ops 3
