What are you nerds playing this weekend?

Nothing tonight as I just got in from touring the campus of Alabama with my daughter and I'm tired as fuck and fixed me a nice drink when i walked through the door! But I can see some more Fallout 4, some LEGO Jurassic World, and some CS:GO.

Looks like it might be rocket league for this weekend.

Yeah, I spotted the free weekend last night and couldn't resist. After an hour and a half, I'm sold on the 12 dollar deal. It might go down cheaper in a later steam sale, but not that much cheaper.

I didn't want to pay 20 bucks for a casual multiplayer title, but 12 is the right price :D

My daughter and I finally had enough spare time at the same time to finish up SOMA. What a fucking good game. Anyone that hasn't played it should. I played a bit more Dark Souls 3 as well. Didn't play much Hyper Light Drifter, but I'll get to that during the week.

I'm probably going to try and finish Dark Souls 3
Maybe finish the Boss in Automatron for Fallout 4

I was going to play some of the Division, My gtx 680 died last week so I am going to play the division to break in my 980ti.

Hey NERDS, whatcha doin NERDS? Today is my Friday, NERDS. So I am already celebrating the weekend while you NERDS are humping the mans leg, NERDS.

So I will prolly play DS3 and a little Neverwinter online when I am not research buying a new monitor.....

NERDS.

This is my Thursday!!!

I'll still be playing some DS3 tonight though. :p

Edit: Oh yeah... NERD!!

Hey! Is NERD one of those words where if you are one it's ok to call someone else one? :p Wassup my nerds?

I hadn't played Diablo 3 in a few years so I decided to start a new Monk from scratch. Working my way through act 2 currently and hope to spend some time with D3 and Grim Dawn this weekend.

I really need to do this sometime. I bought the game on release. Played it for maybe 6 hours or so, then never touched it again. I need to upgrade it to the expanded version, and give it another shot sometime. Too deep into Dark Souls 3 right now though, so it will probably have to wait until after Doom and No Man's Sky.

It is definitely a different experience from the original launch. You level very fast and at least on mine I have access to the full range of difficulty levels since I did finish the game previously with older characters. My Monk is in mid/high 30's in Act 2 currently and I have raised the difficulty to Expert now (3rd level). If I get a few more higher level gear and more of the higher level runes and skills I will try the master level. The Paragon levels won't be available for this character until she hits level 60. Looking forward to hitting the Reaper of Souls levels next week hopefully.

Most likely a mix between Destiny, Dark Souls (the original not 3) and Rainbow Six: Siege. Hopefully I can grind out rank 5 in Iron Banner on Destiny rather quick which will leave more time for the other two.

Finally made it to act 5. I'm up to the master difficulty and will switch to Torment 1 for Act V. It was probably a good thing I started a new character. I opened a game with my old one to cannibalize his gear for my new one and the gear mix wasn't very good for the new game (he was dying constantly at a lower difficulty level, just to get to a spot where I could save and steal his gear. His weapons were the only thing I salvaged. Everything else wasn't as good as my new character's gear. It is most definitely a different game from the original release. I haven't had a chance to try the bounties and adventure mode yet but I like this newer version.

Ended up doing home improvement all weekend. Now I am too tired to play games or go back to work on Monday. Cruel world...

I play Dark Souls 3. But I am playing 2 characters in tandem. One is the Thief with the Estoc sword and a small parrying shield, and the other is the Warrior with the Axe and a big shield that blocks 100%

The Warrior is waaay easier to play than the Thief. With the Warrior you can go toe to toe against enemies, take a little damage and knock them out. Kinda like Donald Trump. But the Thief is another story. He is as squishy as they come and many enemies can 2 shot ya. With the Thief it is all about strike and run, hit and roll, backstabbing. Or else be an expert at parry, which I am not. But I think he is more fun than the Warrior because combat needs to be approached in a much less straight forward manner. Range attacks are key. I don't use magic but the bow gets a lot of use and fire bombs and throwing knives. Grinding and patience are important. Grinding to level up is a task I do much more with the Thief than the Warrior. You can't take on new areas or bosses being under powered at all.

Overwatch seems to be the game of the week for my gaming crew. I am actually having fun in an FPS, it's a miracle!

I think I will spend time in Fallout 4 and Quantum Break in the coming long weekend. Don't see myself playing anything else until Uncharted 4 hits.

Finishing up Rise of the Tomb Raider, and probably playing Shadow Complex Remastered. Man, it's been a long time since I played that game and I'm still wondering where the sequel is.

Hey NERDS.....

blah blah blah NERDS, yada yada NERDS...

There, so yeah, it is friday and I am going to be so fricking busy with RL stuff I likely will not game. But you all live in your mothers basements and have unlimited time on your nerdy hands. So lets hear it....NERDS

Hmm... Now I'm hungry for small "fruity" Wonka candy. Jerk!

I too have a load of stuff to do this weekend. Daughter's bday, trying to wrap up a PCB layout, etc. However, I will likely squeeze in a little DS3.

Who you callin' JERK J3RK?!?!
Heh, that was fun.

My girls B-day is next week, mom's day this weekend. UC4 Next week, damn, gonna get cray cray.

I played no games last weekend. I thought I was going to squeeze some in, but it didn't happen. This week will be better. Doom on Friday...

I might try and finish Divinity Original Sin before I throw a inside party for the Doom release.

Still playing Dark Souls 3. Every new area I go into I get hammered. It isn't until I get familiar with the enemies and the environment / level design that I begin to hold my own. There are new enemies in this game with new attacks. Like those guys who charge at you lit up on fire -- then explode, lol. More ambushes in this game it seems than the previous Souls games. Loosing a lot of souls. My soul of sacrifice ring is long gone, that thing was sweet. But I am making progress. Would love to get my Axe to +3, but shards are hard to come by. I have 2 Axes, one with a fire gem and one plain that will scale. Have yet to win an invasion fight. I'm 0 for 2. My first fight was close though. The lag was real bad. The second fight was lagless but he was pretty strong. I didn't get a single hit in on him, parried me once and it was over.

NERDS!!!! DOOM. It's absolutely wonderful. I'm even more impressed with this one now than I was with Doom 3 at its release. I will be playing this every available minute this weekend. Dark Souls 3 must be put on hold for a while.

Dark Souls 3 is a lot to take as a steady diet anyway. I am breaking it up with Witcher 3 which I have had for months but never played much. Tonight though I got into it. I am amazed at how much choice there is in the game and how choices the player makes in game dictates the flow / direction of the story. The combat is not so bad. It is better than I was expecting. I am really a clumsy Witcher 3 player. I don't have a good grasp of navigating the menus, using items, magic, crafting. Kind of bumbling along, but having a good time with it.
