What do Americans want for Christmas this year? If you guessed “supersonic jet” or “submachine gun” you’d be right! Sure stuff like iPods and cameras made the list but who cares about that, I want to hear about the weird stuff! What did you wish for?

They're all there on the nation's wish list, this ABC News poll finds, alongside the new bikes, the cameras, the Kindles, Nooks and iPods, the "pair of boots" and warm coats, sewing machines, crock pots, laptops, cameras, vacuum cleaners, the "perfumes, always" – and the odder ones.

Ya #1 right should be people wanting "a job". Sadly there are a lot of Americans out there who are getting nothing for Christmas but pink slips or forced out of their homes, but you dont see ABC covering that kind of news...

I don't want anything for Christmas because I hate getting gifts. Its like hugging or something...
 
I want Obama to continue to fix nothing and for him to shower us down with hope crystals from a magic sleigh.
 
I want my own transporter and beaming technology so that I can beam anywhere I want without having to worry about having a second transporter room at the destination.

....and maybe a PS3 and a good stereo bluetooth headset.
 
I didn't ask for anything weird.

I'd love new hardware to rebuild my computer from the ground up for Christmas. Too expensive to ask for though.

really? It works fine in other countries. Many of which the world views as better then the way we have it, especially when you consider the many people that die every year here because of a lack of healthcare.

I'm a libertarian and probably for smaller government than even you are. But for a country to be seen as a true super power we need to at the very least have a good military and good healthcare for all. We could pay for it many times over if we weren't trying to support an empire.

And what does this have to do with a christmas present?
 
I would like a left handed Spyderco Military made with s90v and digi-cam g10 scales.
 
I usually tell my friends when they ask about christmas or my birthday that I want a box of smurfs and a hammer.
 
I want a working, lifesize 70 ton Thor BattleMech. Yeah, that's what I want.

Particularly one that I like and can retire from.
 
I ask for a few things like DVDs, books, and CDs, but I really like seeing what random things my family finds during the year. Got a couple swords last year, those were cool.

All of the politicians in every aspect of government removed. None of them are any good especially since President Obama has a larger "strongly disapprove" rating than Bush did. That would be my ideal Christmas present. Oh and to see Pelosi gone permanently from any government, even the PTA ones. Since she gets her hands on anything that's clean and turns it to shit.
 
I want Bush and Cheney to comeback into office for one day, so people can realize that this country could have been in worst shape then our current situation.
People have such short memories.
