I was thinking of 226bw which is 22' but heard bad opinions about TN. so maybe 21' ? or stick with samsung ?

Dont think there are many options here. Either Samsung or Gateway. 21 inch widescreen will be phased out soon. It is going away with the 23 inch wide.
