Looks like a good deal to me. I posted this over on SDs but thought I woudl post it here also. $5 better than what ZZF had it at before.

They also have the Hitachi 2TB drive for the same price, which seems to be reliable according to the buzz in the Data Storage forum.

I chose not to get the EARS because of some reviews showing poor performance with small files even when aligned... makes sense if you read through the reviews.

I'm vacillating on the Hitachi because... well I was mistaken about ZZF not charging Tax in CA... I don't know where I came up with that. So just based on principle, I don't think I'll buy right now. It's not the deal I thought I was getting, and I'm not desperate for more storage just yet.
