Well after about a month of reading and looking around I ordered the XSI kit today. My better half also let me order the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM lens with it :eek: I jumping in both feet on this with a hell of a learning curve. Good thing im a geek:p I will keep you guys posted when it gets here.

Im soooooo stoked!!
 
Nice :D I ordered one two weeks ago, sadly I am awaiting its replacement due to 4 dead pixels :(

I only could get the Kit lense for now though. I have my eye on a macro, kit replacement, and zoom lense but thats about 1500 lol.

That's a great camera. Regardless of the great pictures it will give you, you'll definitely get a workout hauling around the 70-200 2.8
 
You should enjoy it. Did you utilize the 30% off almost anything at ebay? I just picked up a 85 f/1.8 for $225 :)
 
No ebay with this one, I dont have credit with them ;). I am welcoming luging around that glass from the reviews I have read.
 
Have you held an XSI in your hand? You may want to buy the add-on battery pack for it as the body is very small.
 
I have, I dont think its to bad but I do plan on getting the battery pack before our next trip.

On a good note the lens and 4gig card got here today and it looks like the camera will be here Fri.
 
wow im surprised your still alive...lol!! having waited for that so long would have given heart-attack... I used to have an XSi returned it and got a 40D instead. enjoy! it was fun while I had it!

The lighthouse pics look like you metered on the sky leaving the building too dark in the foreground.
 
Yeah, im not real happy on some of them. My first time out with it and it was a overcast day with a haze in the sky. I'm hope for some better weather next time in out.
 
Show us what that nice L lens can do :)

Even though I am not a Canonian, I am still jealous of your nice lens :mad:

One day I will hopefully be able to get a nice fast apeture zoom.

Now just shoot away!
