Alright, had my rig up and running trouble free for about two weeks now.

I noticed today that the CPU fan (a very audible panaflo ultra high) kept spinning up and down every minute or so even when not under load. I downloaded Speed Fan to check on RPMs and whatnot, and when I started it up, the dialog said it was checking the nf2 chipset (or something like that) and before it finished starting up the computer just crashed and turned off. Now, it won't even post. Just blank screen.

Anybody ever had this happen after using Speed Fan? Is this indicative of another problem at all? Would a CMOS reset maybe fix this...? Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.

Yea, whenever anything scans the SMB (or whatever that thing is called) the DFI expert sorta gets a seisure. Use the ITE smartguardian included on the driver disc. I use that and have no probs :)

Well, luckily I waited an hour and it just started working. Noted, no more smart fan. Thanks for the feedback man.
