Weird film tear on Asus ROG PG278Q

So I just noticed this while playing and I wanted to see if anyone has experienced this as well. During certain colors you can see at the bottom of the monitor that the layer behind the glass is almost tearing or bunching up. I just noticed this in the past month or so but it seems to be progressively getting worse. I am now seeing burn in around that area from my windows toolbar. Anyone experienced this before? I am working on an RMA with Asus at this time.

That's delamination, separation of the screen layers. That there's image retention in the same area indicates the screen is probably getting too hot.
