web design software, dreamweaver alternative

I'm looking for an alternative to Macromedia Dreamweaver. I like using a visual program, something that lets me work quickly to lay the groundwork and then go back and tweak the code. Basically I'd like something like what Photoshop Elements is to the regular version of Photoshop, but for web design. Ideas?

If you like the ways of Adobe software, you should check out GoLive. I am not sure if they any longer support and develop, but Adobe used to also make a program called Pagemill however I don't think they support and develop it anymore.

Opps, forgot to mention. Price is the main difference. I was using Photoshop Elements as an example, it's $99 compared to the full price for Photoshop. It's skimmed down, but this is what I want. Say, a skimmed down version of Dreamweaver.

you might want to look at Amaya , the W3C's web editor.

There's also Composer.. the free editor from Mozilla

nothing fancy, but they are both WYSIWYG and both are free.
