Finally picked out the last piece of my watercooling build. Its taken a few months to pickup everything that I wanted due to budget and availability. Man the quad rad is HUGE! much bigger than I had imagined. I'll probably end up mounting it on top of my P180.

Heatkiller 3.0 LC w/Backplate - $35
Swiftech MCP35x(sleeved) - $75
HWLabs Black Ice GTX480 - $75
XSPC 140mm rad stand(should be 120mm but CrazyPC sent me the wrong thing) - $6
8xYate Loon D12SM-12 - $30
Swiftech Microres - $13
10 Bitspower Black Sparkle 1/2" barbs - $15
Lowes 10'x1/2" tubing -$3.50
Home Depot Hose clamps - $10
32 McMaster screws 60mm + nuts - $20
2 gallons Distilled water - $1.76 :p
spare antifreeze

Grand Total = $284.26

Looks good. Personally I would go with a bigger reservoir but, that is only because I got all the way or no go. Nice porn though! :D

Looks like it's gonna be a beautiful loop when it's put together! I wish I had the patience/funds to put together a full loop in my new 800D.

planning out my loop order, Im pretty hapoy with it, the pump is suspended in the air but I might have to cut alittle more from the res->pump line

no such thing as too much on the [H] :D

plus I am ready to add a GPU or two when I want

Yeah that setup could definitely handle, wait, NEEDS a gpu included :)

Tho it looks like not all of your fans are attached to the rad?

Giving a shout out to McMasters for the cheap prices, great service and ridiculously fast shipping(I ordered on the 19th @ 1:00am got my screws today at 4pm)

Yup, some custom cardboard shrouds(thank you USPS priority boxes :p) that will cover the whole thing and have filters at the top, so it will slip on over the fans for easy removal and cleaning

LOL I like that you went all out with most of the loop and ghetto the shroud. Looks sweet though. Also, how tight of a bend can you get with the tubing you got? 1/8in wall or thinner?

Holy wtf bbq @ that quad rad. Looks epic bro.

ha thanks

that's a pretty expensive ghetto build technique ;)

works for now, I might comeup with some aluminum bar later, a member on here did something similar

the tubing is Lowes, 1/2" ID x 5/8" OD,

it seemed to have been 'flat-spotted' by being on the spool, but instead of fighting it I used this to my advantage, and went 'with' the bend, you can see the tightest bend in my loop here

where the zip-ties are. it wasn't kinked but I suspect with warm water it will loosen up and kink so I went with the ghetto zip-ties to prevent it from collapsing.

I was wrestling the radiator over a bucket to drain the loop, I guess I put the weight of the rad on that fan blade and SNAP!

if only you had a 'ghetto' cardboard fan grill gaffa taped on, this wouldn't of happened...

Hey not nice you said porn......................................................................... But very nice looking setup. keep it going.

That rig is awesome! :)
And I'm absolutely copying your rad setup, ghetto shroud and all. LOL!
Nice job!

so heres my monthly check, the filter seems to do its job well

What did you use for filter? I use women's stockings. When stretched enough they let enough air through but filter enough dust.

Umm you want critique I will tell you this...

Unless you are cooling a Japanese reactor you have just overshot the landing zone by a few hundred miles there Tango.

That is so much cooling, on an epic scale, than I could have ever imagined would be necessary for a processor that might do 250watt thermal at 5.0ghz. Yo money I guess my man!

$0.33 pantyhose :D

Your ghetto methods are brilliant. I am not worthy!!! :D

Ghetto fabulous hahahahaha.

thanks lol

$75 for a 480mm top-end radiator was a no brainer :D now I have room for my GPUs once I get waterblocks for them :D

Is it me, or does this setup seem WAY OVERKILL considering what I'm seeing in that case?????

lol
love the dodgy/ghetto stocking shroud setup.
but don't you think fishnet stockings be more appealing :D

reminds my of monty python - lumberjack song

'...
MOUNTIES:
He cuts down trees. He skips and jumps.
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around in bars?!
He's a lumberjack, and he's okay.
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

BARBER:
I cut down trees. I wear high heels,
Suspendies, and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie,
Just like my dear Papa.

MOUNTIES:
He cuts down trees. He wears high heels,
Suspendies, and a bra?!
[talking]
What's this? Wants to be a girlie?! Oh, My!
And I thought you were so rugged! Poofter!'

;)

LOL @ your rig in a good way! Nice job hahah. Looks good and totally original. Love it! Dont float the Mainstream.....

i'll admit the link is tenuous, just the way my brain works...

i guess i took the title...
Watercooling porn! (critique my build too :p )

& took the word "...porn..."
+ the creative use of women's stockings
and the fact that modding a PC is a 'Manly exercise'

finally the synapse in my brain 'vomited' the 'lumberjack song'
the theme of which is a lumberjack who like to 'dress-up' in women's clothing..

sigh, explaining what makes something funny rarely works.

at least i didn't make the connection to this monty python classic..
