I'm currently using a steelseries rival optical mouse, a cheaper one that I cant find anymore. #62271
Overall, I like it and it has served me well for the last 3-4 years But I have worn it out and I want to change the way I use my mouse. The best way I can explain it is that when I'm getting into a game I tend to grip the mouse hard and push down. I want to mod my mouse to basically have a bigger shell. So that no part of my hand touches the mouse pad. I have pretty large hands and if I grip my mouse where I can use my scroll wheel properly, the heal of my palm is on the mouse pad. So when I get a moment of excitement, my heel digs into the pad and it makes aiming unreliable. I've been trying to teach myself to aim with my arm not just my wrist. But it's slow going and a near 18 year habit.
Anybody ever do any type of ergonomic mod? I really just wish they made mice the size of the old sidewinder track balls. I have an older one but I can't teach myself to use that in fps games.
