Looking to finally upgrade from my GTX-1070 card, I like the RTX 3080, or the upcoming ATI 6800XT or whatever it's called. But I am reading that the 3080 is sold out everywhere, and realistically won't be back in stock until Dec / Jan?

I have a 40" 4k monitor, like to play games maxed out Ultra settings if possible. Currently playing World of Warcraft, Destiny 2, and Battlefield 5. I want to get the new Doom game, but waiting for a new card first before I install the game.

So what options do I have ? Is it true the 3080 cards are pretty much gone, extreme limited supply for the next few months? Like did nVidia do a paper launch, only releasing a handful of cards and that's it until mass production ramps up towards end of the year?

And I haven't owned an ATI card or AMD I should say, since back in the Radeon days, but I'm ok giving them business, and the rumors of the 6800XT ( big navi ) sound really good, but when is that coming out? And expected price? Will that also be limited quantity launch?

Just for the hell of it, I thought about getting a good deal maybe on a 2070 Super or 2080 Super, to hold me over until next year, once the new RTX 3080 has been out awhile. NOPE.

Holy cow, the prices of 2070's and 2080's is OUTRAGEOUS still, these cards are old, and still selling for $800+ !!! For some reason, since they're outdated old cards, I thought they'd only be like $400 or so. Plus they are sold out almost everywhere as well, can't even buy them. WTF? What is going on with VideoCards lately? Out of stock, high prices, etc... I understand the brand new RTX 3080 being out of stock, it's a brand new card just got released, hopefully back in stock next month, but why the hell are old 2070 and 2080 just as hard to find now, and still so expensive?

I then looked at my local Craigslist and FB Marketplace for 3080's LOL, people asking $1500+ for them, and $3,000+ for the 3090. What. The. Fuck. ????

Thanks for the links, but when I click them, the cards still seems rather pricey, 2080s for $700+, and 2070s for $600+

EDIT:
I see a couple non Super regular 2070s for $449, that's too much for a two year old dated card. Maybe a 2080 Super for $450 I'd do.

Watch out for the sale starting midnight tomorrow/Wed and also sometimes on the weekend. 2080s and 2080 were 450-480, 2070s for 380, 2070 for 360 and some 2060 for 250 odd. Expect these to fall further in coming weeks.
