Want help finding a good 32" screen.

I am going to be getting rid of a 8 year old 720p heavy ass Visio. I want to get a new LED 32" with 1080p 16:9 screen.
This is going to be for both plugging in my PS4 and primary monitor for my PC. I want to this route to create more desk space and increase my screen real-estate. Current monitor is a 20" 1680x1050 screen.
I know having an actual monitor would be better for PC usage but the prices are much higher for monitors than they are for TVs. I know that the MS speed is better on monitors in some cases to compensate for that.
Had an argument over the weekend with the wife about but I told her I am tire of waiting and going ahead with or without her on it lol.
Going to try and pick something up on a cyber Monday deal or some other kind of deal.

Is there a good option out there for me without spending out of my arse?
16:9 1920x1080 with either 2 HDMI or and HDMI with DP or DVI. 60hz or 120hz doesn't matter really although I know the 120 is obviously more expensive.
 
If as monitor .. maybe worth considering 1440p 32" screens? Imho FullHD is a bit too low res for the size. Not sure if it would benefit PS4, as i never had any console.
 
1080p would better benefit the PS4 since it's a 1080p machine (matching native resolutions and therefore no video scaling = best quality).
Now as a desktop monitor indeed 1080p won't be great, if one intends to sit close everything will look very pixellated and text hard to read...
 
see that's what I thought with my LG 39LN5300 but I'll be damned if it's not an excellent monitor that sits a couple of feet away.
 
I don't see 1080p being a problem on my PC as I run that on my 42" in the TV room without issues.
Richard I have no problems picking a new Visio if it is worth it. I am trying to keep my options open with the brand. I love Samsung as I love my 42" in the other room. I haven't had much of a problem with my current Visio other than it being really old with a lower resolution. I still think it is fine at 720p with a console but I have tried extending a desktop to it and it is horrendous when i do that, lol.
I have seen some nice LG's also. Don't most brands actually use LG screens anyway?

Edit- that Vision you were showing is only 720p and this would be pointless for me to upgrade to since I am trying to get away from 720 and go towards 1080p.

Edit #2 - I found this on Amazon and a pre-black friday deal. Wondering if the price will come down if I wait a little bit longer. I like this so far, good quality, not a lot of gadgets good for no motion blur.

Didn't notice their 32" model was 720p, as a whole they have a couple good series this year (E & P IIRC).

If you go LG they're usually not bad at all as monitors (I used to own a 32"), just keep in mind the performance varies a bit from one series to the other (e.g LB5600 has a bit more motion blur than LB6300, but a bit less input lag) so pick the series that's got what counts the most for you.
I think most LG are direct-lit (not Edge-LED) which is nice.

Regarding the TV panels, I think most IPS are manufactured by LG, while most VA by AUO (BenQ).
I don't remember if Samsung still use their own S-PVA (which stand somewhere between the other two in terms of quality and performance) but the UE32F5000 (and UE32EH5000 as well) was last year's best 32" next to the LG 'LN5300/5400'.
