W7: Disk Management Doesnt load disk conf. information

Installed W7 on my media center. Now it won't show my Media Harddrive in explorer. Harddrive was available in fine on my older version of win 7.

I go to disk Management and its stuck on "Loading disk configuration information...". Checked all services and its fine. Windows and the Bios pick up both of my drives.

I can't format it because it has all of my movies music and pictures on there, with no other computer in the house with a big enough drive to handle the info.

Services:
Plug & Play: Started/Automatic
DCOM: Started/Automatic
Virtual Disk: Started/Manual

Help me recover from what seems a simple fix.

Have you run a chkdsk on it?

Yes it shows up there and yes i did.

Edit:

Nevermind while i was at work the disk management pane loaded and i was then able to select a drive letter and its back. Thanks for reading anyways guys.
