VMware workstation won't allow independent bridges to host NIC

why can't you configure Network adapter and network adapter 2 independently to bridge to different host NICs? if i change one it changes the other. if i check both boxes for both network adapter and network adapter 2 i can only access one of them.

what am i missing?! see image

i basically want
network adapter ----bridged---> Intel NIC
network adapter 2 -----bridged---> ASIX USB NIC

Automatic is meant to be easy, but not advanced configuration.
You likely need to setup a custom one for the second nic and use that vs. letting workstation try to figure it out.

How do I setup a custom one? VMware workstation settings are very limited.

apparently vmware workstation player does not allow dual NICs, who knew
