Vista x64 - My 'view' settings for icons change on their own?

I'm running Vista Ultimate x64. Completely up to date.

I have a couple folders on my desktop with shortcut icons in them - Applications, Games, etc. These are the folders I notice this problem in the most, because I'm opening these folders the most.

You know if you right click in any folder and go to 'View' you can choose Extra Large Icons, Large Icons, etc. etc. Well, as I'm sure is the case with most PC users, I like to have different folders set to different view options.

Mine change randomly. I set a folder on my desktop to 'Medium Icons' and another folder on my desktop to 'Details' view, and not long after, all of the folders have changed to different View Settings altogether. I don't get it.

Here are my Control Panel -> Folder Options settings:

Also take note in the second pic, that 'Remember each folder's view settings' is checked.

I've only been using Vista since the start of this month, so if this is an obvious problem, it's completely due to my lack of advanced familiarity w/ this OS. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
