I've got an oldish Jornada 728 that relies on ActiveSync (4.5) for syncing. Microsoft officially provides no support for using ActiveSync on Vista and WMDC does not support HPC2000 devices.
I did some googling and found lots of comments on various forums about uninstalling WMDC and installing ActiveSync.
It was/is my understanding that WMDC is part of the OS and, as such, is not simply uninstallable. Additionally, I thought that Vista detected ActiveSync and actively prevented its installation.
Does anyone else have any insight on this?
