I tried using the power saver mode last night and when I awoke in the morning it had restarted. Now my bios is not set to restart itself after a power loss so I can only attribute this to a crash and sure enough in the logs there's a report of an issue going into sleep mode followed by the unexpected shutdown.
Since I'm overclocked normally would say maybe the system, but I just finished a 8hr session of prime followed by a good 2 hour session of gaming before I slept and left the pc alone.
I've put it back in the performance mode I had been testing at where I don't let the hd's sleep, just have the monitor shut off.
I just find it ironic that the system went thru the most brutal 8 hours it will ever endure (ambient 28-29C) cpu hitting 58C-60C, cores 73C at worst, only to be felled by a sleep error in the os.
