Vista graphics problems

Above is a copy of an email I just got from a friend who's installed the Vista 5384 beta 2. He's running a ATI 9600 pro on a Pentium 4 based system, p4p-800vm is the board, if I remember correctly.

What would you all suggest?

i've seen something about that vista build not liking LCD screens plugged into an analogue port...

if you have a CRT with VGA input or LCD with DVI input, try those instead were the comments.

Not sure where i saw it though, sorry!
