vista can't go in sleep mode?

My computer now with a fresh install of Vista 64-bit Will Not Enter Sleep Mode. I press it but the computer stays on idle, everything is on accept screen. Once it happens I have to power it off from the back psu to turn it of. Hibernate mode and shut down work but sleep don't.

I went it advance power options on vista and allow hybrid sleep is on, when sharing media : allow the computer to sleep is on. I don't really know what else to do.

This has been a problem for Vista and certain motherboard configurations since Day 1. Long story short, Microsoft put the blame on the motherboards manufacturers, and vice versa.

I've had this problem and have tried a lot of stuff.

However, you might want to look at the Microsoft "Performance" and "Reliability" patches that were said to fix some instances of this problem. At the same time, check to have the latest BIOS.
