Did you purchase an oem vers or retail vers. Not sure if that matters but the download is from the oem builders site. Also the activation thing happens to people who used a crack that has now been patched. But legit versions can have that problem too i've heard.

My retail Ultimate copy didn't ask at all. And my Volume Licensing Business copies all flashed a pop up saying that windows had been successfully activated.
