It seems to me that by default, the image path for files associated with the Tablet PC Input Panel in 64-bit Vista are wrong.
Using Autoruns, the entries for Tablet PC show "file not found", with the path pointing to the Program Files (x86) folder, as such:
"File not found: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\ink\TipBand.dll"
In fact, TipBand.dll is located in the Program Files folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ink\TipBand.dll
I noticed this problem in trying to resolve an issue with my Wacom tablet. I wanted to correct the path to see what happens, but I haven't found any incorrect entries in the registry.
Any ideas?
Edit: I just realized these errors are under shell extensions. Nevermind!
Another edit: Even InputPersonalization.exe shows "file not found", but it's running perfectly, so it's probably a bug with Autoruns.
