As we know networkdiagrams101 (http://networkdiagram101.com/) makes awesome designs for Visio drawings, in wanting to create something similar (I have proposed to the powers that be we purchase their packs, but waiting to hear back) and being impatient, I was messing around.

Since I am not a visio pro and the amount of reading I have done has left me numb, I wanted to ask, how does one make the ovals look as though they are lying flat? (Sure i will kick myself when someone shows me how...)

I have created the oval shape using 2 spheres (unless there is a better way?) One with in the other aligned closer to one edge to give the thinner vs fatter look, but now how do I rotate it, or more specifically, adjust it to make it look like it is lying flat like how network101 does it:

My Shape so far. It seems I can only adjust the shape to be equal, vs being able to squish it to offset the shape to make it appear to be more flat and drawn out...

I checked the Dev tools and the ShapeSheet stuff but it lost me even more...

Any thoughs?
