I came across this when I look for a new laptop:

It is, supposely, able to get desktop video cards work on laptops through external display. This sounds too good to be try espeically after reading a blog post saying nvidia is trying to do the same but hit the price hurtle (from engadget). There are only very limited infomation on it and I have never heard anything other than in forum posts.
Is this real and worth looking into or just some bail and switch trying to grab some quick money?
P.S. ViDock 4 (no 3?) is supposed to be out last August but I cannot find anything with google. And all news about ViDock seem to stopped last fall as well.
