It looks like 3060Ti will be releasing around the same time as the 3070. Which makes sense since it's a cut down 3070.

Given how little Memory BW is on even the 3070, It's really looking like the plain 3060 will be 192 bit bus 6GB card. :(

Though that will probably get a cut down to a 3050 Ti, which might be the bottom of the RTX lineup.

In October NVIDIA will introduce GeForce RTX 3070, a third SKU featuring GA104 GPU (both RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 are based on GA102). What NVIDIA did not disclose yet is that they are also planning GeForce RTX 3060 Ti for that month.

It goes without saying that October will be a very hot month for desktop gamers. In October AMD is introducing Ryzen 4000 “Vermeer” series based on Zen3 architecture, only to ‘reveal’ Radeon RX 6000 series three weeks later. In the meantime, NVIDIA will launch its GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards, and, as we have just learned, also the RTX 3060 Ti.

NVIDIA has informed AIBs that the plan is to release RTX 3060 Ti in the second half of October. The specifications were also provided and it seems that the Ti model is replacing the rumored RTX 3060 SUPER.

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is equipped with GA104-200 GPU, featuring 4864 CUDA cores (exactly 1024 cores fewer than RTX 3070). It will share memory configuration with RTX 3070: 8GB of GDDR6 non-X memory clocked at 14.0 Gbps (with 448 GB/s maximum bandwidth).

Looks like the 3060 will be the go to for ITX sized cards. Maybe 2080 class performance. I hope they offer a 16GB version.
 
The stock 1080 Ti "only" has 484GB/s memory bandwidth.
448GB/s on the 3070 is considered "little bandwidth", haha, how times have changed. :D

448 is little when it's supposed to match performance of a card with 38% more BW (616GB/s on 2080Ti).
 
I'm guessing that the vanilla 3060 is going to be a 1660 replacement. If they price it that way, I don't necessarily have a problem with 6GB. Ideally, I'd like to see the 3060Ti come in around $349, but probably $399 is what we'll get.

Mainstream cards just keep getting more expensive.

Yeah, I expect $400 for 3060 Ti, and perhaps $350 for the regular 3060, with the $299 for the 3050Ti.

Best case $350 for 3060 Ti, and $300 or the regular 3060 (6GB), with the $250 for the 3050Ti (hopefully not less than 6GB).

Not much chance of RTX card below that IMO. Likely re-branded Turing GTX.

I think it's going to have to be sub $300 for the Average Joe to bite. The 1660 Super is $230 now, so I'd think that a 3060 vanilla could be $279-299 and sell very well. I don't think any of the XX50Ti cards have been more than $200 yet. I'd be surprised if they go $200+ for the entry level "gaming" card.

Either way, I'd think you'd be looking at early next year sometime before you see the 3050 in any form whether it be a cut down Turing or Ampere based.

With 3060 Ti on the 3070 die.

I expect 3050 Ti will be on the regular 3060 die.

So I would expect 3050 Ti to arrive with the regular 3060. Both at some later date than 3070/3060Ti.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Confirmed, Beats RTX 2080 SUPER​

It looks like NVIDIA will launch its 4th GeForce RTX 30-series product ahead of Holiday 2020, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, with VideoCardz unearthing a leaked NVIDIA performance guidance slide, as well as pictures of custom-design RTX 3060 Ti cards surfacing on social media. The RTX 3060 Ti is reportedly based on the same 8 nm "GA104" silicon as the RTX 3070, but cut down further. It features 38 out of 48 streaming multiprocessors physically present on the "GA104," amounting to 4,864 "Ampere" CUDA cores, 152 tensor cores, and 38 "Ampere" RT cores. The memory configuration is unchanged from the RTX 3070, which means you get 8 GB of 14 Gbps GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit wide memory interface, with 448 GB/s of memory bandwidth.

According to a leaked NVIDIA performance guidance slide for the RTX 3060 Ti, the company claims the card to consistently beat the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, a $700 high-end SKU from the previous "Turing" generation. The same slide also shows a roughly 40% performance gain over the previous generation RTX 2060 SUPER, which is probably the logical predecessor for this card. In related news, PC Master Race (OfficialPCMR) on its Facebook page posted pictures of boxes of an ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti OC graphics cards, which confirms the existence of this SKU. The picture of the card on the box reveals a design similar to other TUF Gaming RTX 30-series cards launched by ASUS so far. As for price, VideoCardz predicts a $399 MSRP for the SKU, which should nearly double the price-performance for this card over the RTX 2080 SUPER at NVIDIA's performance numbers.

I’ve seen makers turn half height cards into full height with a single heat sink. Totally doable.
 
I also found an interesting marketing email from Manli. If I recall, Manli is a legit board manufacturer but not an official NVIDIA partner. I've seen their 3070 on Amazon (sold out of course) but the mailer was specifically talking about the 3060 ti.

There definietely are OEMs who don't sell in the US. Everyone's favorite rumor site to roll their eyes at - wccftech - covers some of their annoucements just like they do the cards we get.
