Ok, here's the situation:

My old setup:

Q6600
EVGA 8800 GTX
4 gigs OCZ Platinum Revision 2 DDR2 800
XFX 680i SLi A+ motherboard
5 HDD
2 Optical
OCZ GamerXstream 700watt PSU

Upgraded to:

E8400
Same Video
4 gigs A-Data DDR2 800
Same mobo

Problem!

My EVGA card will now not display. Right now I'm using a cheapo 1050x ATi card instead.

The error code is 7F (on the mobo) if that helps.

I've already tried flashing the CMOS.

No dice yet.

Fixed! Locking thread.

You should post the fix to help others that might have the same issue in the future.....Its what makes this forum helpful..

If I search for error code 7F and I get a post that says "fixed"..Its kinda annoying..:)

True. I can see all the responses that helped me fix the problem ;)

Basically:

1) Turn off the PSU in the back
2) Remove the mobo battery
3) Flash the CMOS
4) Leave it like that overnight.
5) Put in original card see if that works, if so, set memory timings manually, restart and go for broke.

If original card doesn't display, put in cheapo card, set memory timings manually, swap cards, go for broke.

I swore I posted that it's your ram and I was right correct?
You were the one with the A-Data ram correct?
