At the moment I have a 4850 and a VeiwSonic 20" WS monitor.I am looking to replace the 20" monitor with a 24" with 1920x1200 resolution. Can a 4850 run this type of monitor.AA is not a big thing with me,as resolution can take care of some of the jaggies,or would a 4870/4890 be a better deal and just run everysetting at greater degress of AA at 1680x1050.Some games are Overload,Call of Juarez,LFD,FarCry2,Fear2.As I have mentioned AA is not that great of a deal, and I would like to watch some movies at 1080P.Thanks

It sure can man. I mean I have a Q6600 cpu stock + 8800GT. My video card is slower and core clock speed on my Q6600 at 2.4 ghz. I play the graphic intensive games on my 24" Some games, I will be able to play some games at the native 1920 x 1200 res such as UT3, GOW, Turok and TF2. Others, such as COD4, COD5 I run them at 1680x1050 res. Crysis and Stalker I run it at 1440x900 res with high settings and 0AA and 0AF. Note that this is with an 8800GT which is a good 15% slower overall than your Radeon HD4850 video card. For now, just see how it plays on the 24" lcd. If you are not satisfied, you can always upgrade your GPU later. Sell your 4850 and upgrade to a faster card.

Thanks for the reply.I have really been thinking about this 24" monitor it has me mesmerized:D
